Nettur Technical Training Foundation has been a pioneer in addressing the critical need for specialised engineering education, particularly in the field of Tool Engineering. Recognizing the absence of organised postgraduate courses in specialised production engineering subjects, NTTF School of Postgraduate Studies ventured into higher education in 1983 with a Postgraduate Degree in Tool Engineering. This bold step was taken to meet the growing demand for skilled tool designers, who serve as the backbone of manufacturing industries. Over the years, NTTF expanded its offerings, introducing a Product Design programme in 1998 to cater to the increasing need for innovative new product development.
Since its inception, NTTF School of Postgraduate Studies has trained and empowered over 1,900 postgraduate professionals in Tool Engineering and Product Design, many of whom are now serving in Indian and international organizations or running their own tooling businesses. Building on a strong foundation established by its traditional diploma-level Tool and Die Maker courses launched in 1959, NTTF’s postgraduate programmes provide practical exposure and real-time tool-making experience, enabling graduates to thrive in the fast-evolving, automated manufacturing landscape. As the demand for smart tooling solutions and innovative product design continues to grow globally, NTTF remains a leader in preparing skilled engineers who are shaping the future of the industry.
